Seven members of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine took part in the meeting of the First Chamber: Roman Ihnatov, Mykhailo Bohonis, Vitalii Gatseliuk, Nadiia Kobetska, Ruslan Melnyk, Andrii Pasichnyk, Halyna Shevchuk.

In accordance with the decision of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine of December 21, 2023, public organizations that participated in the meeting of representatives of public organizations to appoint members of the Public Integrity Council were invited to delegate their representatives to the working group to verify information on the possible russian citizenship of the Chairman of the HQCJ Roman Ihnatov.

In connection with the appearance of information in the public space about the possible possession of russian citizenship by the Chairman of the Commission, as well as following the review of the content of the information received from the competent authorities, the Commission considers it necessary to make appropriate requests for immediate confirmation or refutation of the published information.

On December 18, 2023, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine received office equipment as a part of international technical assistance within the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation from one of the Commission’s strategic partners, the European Union Project “Pravo-Justice”.

The country Manager of the Project Oksana Tsymbrivska visited the HQCJ and expressed support for the Commission.

On December 19, 2023, the plenary session of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, at its meetings, considered the issue of recommendations for appointment to the positions of judges.

On December 19, 2023, the Panels of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, at its meetings, held interviews and determined the results of the qualification evaluation of two local court judges for correspondence to the position held.

Based on the results of the qualification evaluation for compliance with the position held, the Commission made the following decisions:

We hereby announce that on December 15–16, 2023, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine formed a rating of participants in the competition for 500 positions of judges of local general courts within the framework of the competition announced by the Commission’s decision of September 14, 2023, № 95/zp-23.
