Attention! The working schedule of the Commission

On the execution of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 09, 2020 No. 1236 “On the establishment of quarantine and implementation of enhanced anti-epidemic measures in the area with a significant spread of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by coronavirus SARS-CoV-2” (as amended by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated June 16, 2021 № 611), according to the order of the Head of the Secretariat the following working schedule of the Commission was continued until August 31, 2021:

Online discussion of the financial condition of the judiciary in Ukraine in 2018-2021 with the support of the Council of Europe

On June 10, 2021, an online discussion was held on the financial situation of the judiciary in Ukraine, organized with the support of the Council of Europe Projects “Support for judicial institutions and processes to strengthen access to justice in Ukraine” and “Further support for the execution by Ukraine of judgments in respect of Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights”.

The HQCJU Secretariat’s leadership met online with representatives of the OECD Anti-Corruption Network

On June 3, 2021, HQCJU Secretariat’s leadership held an online expert meeting with representatives of the Anti-Corruption Network for Eastern Europe and Central Asia of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD Anti-Corruption Network) Dr. Ciril Kersmanc and Rusudan Mikhelidze.

For the attention of candidates for vacant positions of public service of category “B” in the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine

We would like to inform that in accordance with the order of the Head of the Commission’s Secretariat dated April 30, 2021 № 10 starting from May 11, 2021 the competition for public service positions of category “B” in the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine was resumed.

On the execution of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated December 09, 2020 No. 1236 “On the establishment of quarantine and implementation of enhanced anti-epidemic measures in the area with a significant spread of acute respiratory disease COVID-19 caused by coronavirus SARS-CoV-2” (as amended by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated April 21, 2021 № 405), according to the order of the Head of the Secretariat the following working schedule of the Commission was continued until June 30, 2021:

Five judges of local general courts were appointed by the Decrees of the President of Ukraine

On April 02, 2021, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy issued two Decrees “On the appointment of judges” (№ 136/2021, № 138/2021).

As such, following part 5 of Article 126, Article 127 and parts 1 and 2 of Article 128 of the Constitution of Ukraine to local general courts were appointed:

judge of the Leninskyi District Court of Mykolaiv HRYNENKO Mykhailo Viktorovych;

judge of the Bolhradskyi District Court of Odessa Region VYSOTSKYI Serhii Oleksandrovych;

The HQCJU Secretariat’s leadership met online with the USAID New Justice Program representatives

On March 17, 2021, the HQCJU Secretariat’s leadership held an online meeting with the USAID New Justice Program representatives: Justice Sector Reform Expert Victoria Jennett and Legal Adviser Myroslava Vorontsova, as part of an updated study on assessing the work of the Ukrainian judiciary on potential corruption risks.

The meeting was attended by the Head of the Commission’s Secretariat Olena Ponomarenko, Director of the Judicial Career Department Taras Neshyk and Acting Head of the International Cooperation Department Denys Kuznetsov.
