
By a decision of the Commission dated September 24, 2025, the qualification assessment of 24 judges for suitability for their positions was terminated.
Paragraph 20-2 of Section XII “Final and Transitional Provisions” of the Law of Ukraine “On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges” stipulates that a judge referred to in the first paragraph of section 20 of this chapter, who, after the entry into force of the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine ”On the Judiciary and the Status of Judges“ and Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine on Improving Judicial Career Procedures” based on the results of a qualification assessment within the competition for the position of judge of the court of appeal, High Specialised Court, or judge of the Supreme Court within his/her specialisation, has confirmed the ability to administer justice in the relevant court, shall be deemed to have passed the assessment and confirmed suitability for the position held in accordance with paragraph 20 of this section.
Twenty-four judges, whose qualification assessment for suitability for the position held has not been completed, within the framework of the competition procedure announced by the Commission’s decision of September 14, 2023, have confirmed their ability to administer justice in administrative courts of appeal, commercial courts of appeal, Sumy and Zhytomyr courts of appeal, and therefore have passed the assessment and are suitable for their positions.
