On June 03, 2024, during the meeting of the Deputy Chairman of the Commission Ruslan Sydorovych with the Leading Anti-Corruption and Rule of Law Specialist of the Department of Democracy and Governance at the USAID Mission to Ukraine Jay Totte, Chief of Party of the USAID “Justice for All” Program David Vaughn and the Program’s legal advisor Marta Hlomb, the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine received equipment for media classes from the Program under the international technical assistance and Protocol of Cooperation.
The Deputy Chairman of the HQCJ thanked the american partners for their many years of joint work and assistance and noted that the equipment received, sets for recording video conferences and broadcasts, will strengthen the technical capacity of the Commission during online events and meetings to ensure the openness of all processes. Ruslan Sydorovych emphasized that for the HQCJ, digitalization means transparency and speed of procedures and, of course, saving financial resources.
Jay Totte emphasized that support to the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine is a priority for the USAID “Justice for All” Program and assured that the program will continue to assist the Commission in its efforts to select professional and transparent judges.
David Vaughn focused on the importance of automating the HQCJ’s IT infrastructure to improve the procedure for evaluating judges and judicial candidates and conducting competitions. He noted that the Program will remain one of the Commission’s key partners.
Please be informed that on September 08, 2023, the Commission and the Program signed a Protocol of Cooperation on implementation of the USAID “Justice for All” Program under the international technical assistance, which provides for cooperation in promoting the idea of justice for all through strengthening the justice system, justice services, and public engagement to ensure an adequate response to legal problems and the needs of Ukrainians to address them.
