On July 14 – 15, members of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, with the support of the Pravo-Justice project of the European Union, took part in a strategic meeting.
The event was held with the participation of Oleksandra Baklanova, a strategy and change management expert who specializes in complex projects, developing and supporting the creation of strategies for business, civil society organizations, and reforms.
Chairman of the Commission Roman Ihnatov noted that through active interaction, HQCJ members were able to gain practical experience and skills in identifying effective methods of solving complex management tasks, discussed the development of strategic capacities, and focused on the principles by which the Commission has already started working to achieve effective interaction with civil society.
“The ability of our team to cooperate and communicate effectively and smoothly will help build a truly constructive dialogue between all parties,” – Roman Ignatov emphasized.
Oksana Tsymbrivska, Head of the European Union Project “Pravo-Justice” noted that the Strategic Session will help optimize the work of the Commission as a collegial body of judicial governance, increase its efficiency in reviewing and processing numerous tasks, and allow each member of the Commission to use their skills more effectively in practice.
The members of the Commission also discussed issues related to the criteria for assessing the quality of the work of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine, the stages of development and achievement of strategic management goals, emphasized the importance of information technology in the work of the Commission and searched for ways to optimize internal and external communication.
The analysis and discussion of the essential aspects of the work of the Commission and the obstacles to its activity will contribute to the development of the work strategy of the High Qualification Commission of Judges of Ukraine with the participation of international institutions.
